Monarchs and Milkweed

One of the greatest joys is when you plant something that is supposed to attract certain things, and it does!

Such is the case of the milkweed that has sprung up in the back of Peggy’s hillside garden. Today she came in showing all smiles and with two pictures she took just a few minutes before. She was so excited because we have been told that the Monarchs aren’t in our area this year.

Well, here is proof that some are indeed here:

This Monarch is quite content to sit on top of the milkweed plant. Hopefully there may be some eggs left behind.
