October 2018

October Garden Club Meeting

Lebanon Garden Club members and guests had a wonderful evening on October 4th where Brewmaster Dan Trapp talked about the basic ingredients needed to brew, ferment and package your own beer! Before the meeting we toured Dan and Arlena’s beautiful gardens and then settled in to learn about the world’s oldest and most widely consumed alcoholic beverage, beer. After a short business meeting we enjoyed the fruits of Dan’s labor and enjoyed potluck treats that members brought. Thank you Dan and Arlena for sharing your expertise and beautiful gardens with the group!

Into the Streets, Fall 2018

Thank you McKendree students! Forty four McKendree students volunteered as part of their “Into the Streets” program on projects for the garden club as well as the city of Lebanon. They accomplished several gardening tasks in the cemetery, mini park, Mermaid House, and the McKendree vegetable garden. Job well done!
